Brother Mark Elder, C.M.

Brother Mark Elder is a muralist, educator, and cowboy. He graduated from DePaul University with a bachelor’s degree in physical education and eventually returned to the institution of higher learning in 1994 to teach art and lead other art-related projects. His murals have been viewed in Chicago, Missouri, and Rome.

Keith Leaphart, D.O., M.B.A

Dr. Keith Leaphart is a celebrated and accomplished leader within the healthcare field. His resume includes being a relief staff physician at Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital for close to two decades and being the CEO of the charitable giving platform Philanthropi. Dr. Leaphart was appointed as the Enterprise Executive Vice President and Humana Chief Health Equity and Community Impact Officer at Jefferson in 2023.

Trapeta B. Mayson, L.C.S.W., M.B.A.

Liberia native Trapeta B. Mayson is best known as the founder of Healing Verse Philly and the Healing Verse Philly Poetry Line. She’s also a mental health advocate with a license in clinical social work. Ms. Mayson’s poetry has earned her numerous awards and achievements, including publication of two poetry collections, a Leeway Transformation Award, and an Academy of American Poets Laureate Fellowship. 

Akida Neely, M.B.A

Philadelphia native Akida Neely is senior manager of employee engagement, impact, and inclusion at Comcast and is a USA Swimming Certified Professional Swim Coach and a member of the Russell Byers Charter School Board of Directors. Ms. Neely is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and holds an M.B.A. from Regis University.

Steven Pickens

Steven Pickens is the co-creator of the gun violence prevention app PhillyTRUCE. After college in Philadelphia, Mr. Pickens took on a variety of jobs, one being as a route delivery driver, until he decided to apply for work with the Philadelphia Fire Department. Still with the Philadelphia Fire Department after 20 years, Mr. Pickens uses his valuable knowledge to mentor young men.
