Building a Healthy Future Campaign off to a terrific start
January 17, 2024

Dear Friends of Healthy NewsWorks:

Thanks to the generosity of many individuals, our Building a Healthy Future Campaign is off to a terrific start. You have helped us raise more than $325,000 in donations and pledges since we launched the campaign in mid-November. Our goal is to reach $1 million in individual donations by June 2026.

Please know how deeply we appreciate your support.

Healthy NewsWorks believes that every child has the right and the need to acquire health knowledge and literacy skills. These gifts will enable us to work with even more students to teach them how to separate fact from fiction; identify reliable sources of information; and produce trustworthy, health-focused school newspapers, books, and other materials.

Our student reporters are researching, interviewing, and writing about the link between health and where people live, work, and play as part of this year’s theme, “Caring for Our Community and Ourselves.” They are in the thick of developing articles for two Healthy NewsWorks magazines this Spring and Fall, and their work will serve as a jumping off point for new videos.

Thank you for helping our students lead healthy change in our communities.
