Healthy NewsWorks is hiring!

Healthy NewsWorks is seeking a Deputy Director (full-time), who will strengthen internal operations, increase funding, and deepen community relationships. In addition, we are looking for a Communications Associate (part-time) who will support outreach goals, assist with programming, and generate internal and external communications.  

Here are the details:

  • Deputy Director: The Deputy Director will work closely with the Executive Director to attain goals articulated in Healthy NewsWorks’ 2023-2027 Strategic Plan, building upon two decades of steady, purposeful expansion of Healthy NewsWorks programs. The Deputy Director will play a significant role in fostering community and school partnerships, developing business and funding relationships and opportunities, and working with Healthy NewsWorks staff and consultants on program implementation. The Deputy Director will share some of the Executive Director’s administrative responsibilities.

  • Communications Associate: The Communications Associate for Healthy NewsWorks will play a crucial role in connecting our 20-year-old nonprofit organization with teachers, the community, board members, staff, and donors. We are looking for a creative communicator who is adept in fact-based writing and problem solving and has an interest in health. You will have the chance to develop and master your skills in collaboration with experienced writers, editors, designers, filmmakers, and others as you work to increase public awareness and support for Healthy NewsWorks.
