Healthy NewsWorks is pleased to welcome attorney Alfred J. Vogt to its board as an observer for the next year.
AJ works as a government attorney, and comes to Healthy NewsWorks through the Board Observer Program, a partnership between the Philadelphia Bar Foundation, the Delivery of Legal Services Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association, and the Young Lawyers Division of the Philadelphia Bar Association.
The program offers young lawyers the opportunity to serve on the board of a local nonprofit organization for a year, fostering connections with the community and benefiting both the observer and the participating organization. Chelsea Dellavella served as an observer through the program during 2022.
“I have always had a dedication to public service, and many people in my life are members of the health care practitioner community,” AJ said. “Because of that, I have observed both the difficult but rewarding process of educating those seeking health care interventions. I hope to assist Healthy News Works in furthering its mission to educate children about the health community and allow those children to confidently pass that knowledge to others.”
AJ earned his law degree from Duquesne University School of Law in Pittsburgh in 2019. Following law school, AJ clerked for the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and practiced family law in the Philadelphia area.
