Gaining digital skills
August 25, 2021

By Kayla, 10th grade | August 2021 … I used to be camera-shy and afraid to speak through an electrical device. Being in Healthy NewsWorks allowed me to step out of my shell and my comfort zone. I got to do several interviews and meetings. This was great, because I got to do those things before my year of virtual learning. I would have thought there was no way I could do virtual learning because of how camera-shy I was, but Healthy NewsWorks prepared me. When virtual school started, I already knew how to handle communicating properly through a device. The program helped me gain interview skills and confidence. Thanks, Healthy NewsWorks!
