Healthy NewsWorks board welcomes Omar Joseph
October 7, 2020

October 2020…Healthy NewsWorks is pleased to welcome Omar D. Joseph, a marketing executive with more than 15 years experience, as a new member of its board.

Omar is director of regional marketing-East for Quest Diagnostics, Healthy NewsWorks’ Community Wellness Partner. He leads marketing campaigns across seven states and the District of Columbia and has experience managing digital, video, specialty, and print marketing projects. He joined Quest in 2013, after earlier jobs with JK Design, Inc., O.S. Randolph Group, and Tyco International.

Omar earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and Puerto Rican & Hispanic Caribbean Studies from Rutgers University.

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Healthy NewsWorks for the last several years,” Omar said. “The cause is worthy, like many others, but it was the people behind the cause that convinced me that this was an amazing organization. They all have passion and drive for the goals and vision and that’s what makes Healthy NewsWorks special.”

Marian Uhlman, the organization’s executive director, said Omar’s marketing expertise will help Healthy NewsWorks tell its story more fully in the communities it serves. “Building awareness of the work our students and teachers are doing will help us expand our program and reach more kids in more communities,” she said.
