Announcing an exciting opportunity for Healthy NewsWorks
November 11, 2019

December update: A generous donor has offered to match every new gift, dollar-for-dollar, up to $5,000, that we receive by New Year’s Eve. Please spread the word and help us meet the challenge by making your gift to Healthy NewsWorks today!

Moriah Hall

November 2019 … Healthy NewsWorks is now in its 17th year of working with elementary and middle school student journalists to deliver our unique program focused on building healthier communities through student newswriting.

As our fall fundraising campaign begins, Moriah Hall, M.P.H., one of our board members, has shared her reflections on what resonates most about Healthy NewsWorks. “It so clearly demonstrates how literacy and school-based learning impact a child’s healthy future,” she says.

Please help us raise vital funds to give children in high-needs communities the tools and the self-confidence to serve as health ambassadors. Your tax-deductible gift will help support the academic achievement of some 1,500 children in our region this year—an investment that can impact the lives of our young reporters now and for a lifetime.
