October 2018 …Voting has ended in the semifinal round of the 2018 Be Well Philly Health Hero Challenge.
Thank you to everyone who voted for Healthy NewsWorks Executive Director Marian Uhlman over the past few weeks. We’ll know soon whether she received received enough votes to move on to the final round and a chance for Healthy NewsWorks to receive as much as a $10,000 donation.
The Health Hero Challenge is sponsored by Philadelphia magazine and Independence Blue Cross to recognize people and organizations that encourage others to participate in a healthy and active lifestyle.
We are honored for Marian to be included as a semifinalist and are deeply grateful to all who voted for her.
We hope you’ve found the Health Hero Challenge a fun way of showing your support for Healthy NewsWorks and expanding the circle of people who know about our organization.
Three of the ten semifinalists will advance to the final round of voting in November.
Philadelphia magazine and Independence Blue Cross will donate $10,000 to a charity designated by the Grand Prize winner and $2,500 each to charities designated by the two runners-up. To learn more about the awards, visit the Health Hero website.
