June 2018… Prescribing outdoor time for children, broadening access to youth sports programs, treating and preventing brain injury, and making communities more walkable are among the ways 16 Philadelphia-area health leaders say they’re working to make our communities healthier and safer. Their stories are told in Leading Healthy Change In Our Communities 2018, the seventh book in the Healthy NewsWorks series on health leadership.
This book includes interviews and illustrations by nearly 100 Philadelphia-area elementary and middle school students who participated in the Healthy NewsWorks student media program during the 2017–18 school year.
