June 25, 2017

June 2017…Fighting gun violence, preventing athletic injuries, promoting vaccinations, and teaching squash are among the ways a dozen Philadelphia-area health leaders are working to make our communities healthier and safer. Their stories are told in Leading Healthy Change In Our Communities 2017, the sixth book in the Healthy NewsWorks series on health leadership.

This book includes interviews and illustrations by more than 110 Philadelphia-area elementary and middle school students who participated in the Healthy NewsWorks student media program during the 2016–17 school year.
