January 2017… The stories of health leaders featured in the Leading Healthy Change In Our Communities book series are giving elementary and middle school students ideas of how they too can help others.
“You inspire me to help families stay healthy that are homeless,” one student wrote to Karen Hudson, who leads the Homeless Health Initiative at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Another student said he admired how Antonio Valdés, head of the Children’s Crisis Treatment Center, helps children dealing with emotional traumas.
