Letters to leaders: ‘A spark started in my mind’
December 22, 2015

December 2015…In letters to health leaders written during the fall 2015 semester, elementary and middle school students related the impressions the leaders’ stories made on them. When he read the story of psychologist Dr. Dan Gottlieb, one student wrote, “a spark started in my mind and then that grew into a powerful fire.” Another student wrote that artist Lily Yeh “inspired me by using art to heal broken communities.”

Both health leaders were among those featured in Leading Healthy Change In Our Communities 2015, the fourth book in the ongoing Healthy NewsWorks book program. Read more of these letters in the gallery below. You can also view earlier letters.
