September 2015…Quest Diagnostics featured its partnership with Healthy NewsWorks in Health In Your Hands, its recent corporate social responsibility report.

In an article titled “Getting an Early Start on Health Literacy” (see page 10 of the report), the diagnostic testing company described two reporting field trips by Healthy NewsWorks students to its laboratory in Horsham, Pa., and other ways Quest employees have engaged with our program.

“Our partnership with Quest has been terrific for the student reporters and deeply meaningful to our program,” said Marian Uhlman, Healthy NewsWorks director. “The students’ interviews with Quest employees have opened their eyes to many aspects of healthcare and helped them develop their research and reporting skills.”

Quest has been our program’s Community Wellness Partner since 2014. Along with the field trips to the Horsham laboratory, Quest volunteers last year also visited local schools to participate in student interviews and served as judges for our “Acts of Kindness” healthy poster contest.

Quest documented one of the field trips, in the fall of 2014, in a short video. To see other coverage of Healthy NewsWorks, please visit our Press page.
