Director moderates panel on food insecurity

ABC_4776aApril 2015…Healthy NewsWorks Director Marian Uhlman moderated a panel discussion on food insecurity during a recent forum at St. James School in Philadelphia. Titled “Chat and Chew – Food Insecurity: An Educational Approach,” the forum explored potential solutions to Philadelphia’s most critical issues including hunger and lack of access to healthy food in underresourced neighborhoods. The panel featured Kelly Herrenkohl, director of the Vetri Foundation for Children, and Steveann Wynne, executive director of SHARE Food Program.

Healthy NewsWorks received the school’s Cornucopia Award during the event.
