Poster contest looks at ‘acts of kindness’
December 21, 2014

December 2014…All students in Healthy NewsWorks elementary and middle schools have been invited to take part in an “Acts of Kindness Poster Contest” this fall.

Students were encouraged to create a picture that illustrates a child being kind to another person. Some examples include a drawing of someone sharing a book, keeping the classroom tidy, or helping an elderly relative to shop.

The poster contest is part of the Healthy NewsWorks’ new project, Think, Don’t Fight. In the project, our elementary and middle school reporters will be reporting and writing about bullying prevention.

Selected posters will be displayed in the schools, in the community, and in Healthy NewsWorks publications.
