View winning Medicine Safety posters

August 2013…In Spring 2013, students in several Healthy NewsWorks schools participated in a “Using Medicine Safely” poster contest.  The contest was a part of the Healthy NewsWorks Understanding Medicine program, supported by a grant from the American Medical Association Foundation.  The contest encouraged students to create original artwork illustrating one of the following topics:

  • Read and follow the directions on the medicine label.
  • Never share your medicine.
  • Always check that your name is on the medicine label.

Some of the winning posters were displayed at the ACPPA Community Art Center in Norristown in conjunction with the art center’s Spring Art Exhibition in May.
