Healthy NewsWorks partners with WHYY
October 8, 2012

October 2012…Healthy NewsWorks is thrilled to announce that we are now working with WHYY-FM on a variety of projects to further enable our student journalists to promote health within their communities. WHYY staff plans to teach student journalists audio skills and help them produce audio content on a range of public health topics.

WHYY and its companion website, NewsWorks.org (no relation to HealthyNewsWorks.org), has already featured our program and student reporters.  Most recently, Marian Uhlman, Healthy NewsWorks director, was a guest on WHYY’s radio show, “NewsWorks Tonight,” with host Dave Heller. Carolyn Beeler, a WHYY reporter, also moderated a press conference for student journalists on dental health at Independence Blue Cross in July. We look forward to working with WHYY, NewsWorks.org, and its many talented staff members.
