“Leading Healthy Change” authors and illustrators spread health message at Norristown ShopRite
September 20, 2012

September 2012 …Eight student authors and illustrators of “Leading Healthy Change In Our Communities” from Norristown schools participated in a book-signing event at the ShopRite of East Norriton.

ShopRite graciously hosted the event so that the student authors could let ShopRite customers know about the Healthy NewsWorks program, their school newspapers, and about the book. The students greeted customers as they entered the store and handed out sample copies of their school newspapers.

A number of customers bought a copy of “Leading Healthy Change In Our Communities” or made a donation to the program after hearing firsthand from the students about how they are making Norristown a healthier place to live.  The student authors signed the purchased books with messages such as “eat right,” “stay healthy,” and “stay fit.”   Good job authors!
